He angitūtanga / The opportunity:As Chef de Partie at Forsyth Barr Stadium, you'll be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food in line with Compass Group standards. You'll work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and contribute to a memorable dining experience for guests and event attendees. This is a Permanent Part Time position.Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook menu items, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Portion and plate food for service, maintaining presentation standards.
  • Receive, store, and rotate kitchen supplies to ensure freshness and compliance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Support menu development and catering control procedures to reduce waste and meet dietary needs.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
  • NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery or equivalent trade qualification.
  • Experience cooking in a similar high-volume or event-based environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Flexible, reliable, and physically fit with a positive attitude.
  • Police clearance and NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) preferred.
