What You'll Be Doing | Mō te TūrangaAre you ready to pioneer procurement excellence in a dynamic and innovative environment? We are seeking a Procurement Business Partner to join our newly established division and play a pivotal role in shaping our procurement strategies and processes. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to drive impactful procurement initiatives. You will help to progress NZAA's procure to pay maturity journey and provide commercial and financial support to the wider business.Join us in shaping the future of procurement excellence and making a meaningful impact on our organization's success.   • Identify and propose new supplier/category management and/or cost reduction opportunities across the business.
  • Work with the wider business to ensure all contract details are appropriately captured in the contract management system.
  • Undertake market research and cost-benefit analysis of potential/existing suppliers.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure that they can meet their obligations in a timely manner.
  • Monitor expiry dates of agreements and recommend appropriate action (e.g. renewal, modify or cancel).
  • Support with category, contract and supplier management.
  • Support the wider business with the use of procurement tools, templates, systems and processes.
  • Work in partnership with business units to build a pipeline of procurement initiatives.
  • Perform analysis to support procurement strategy, planning and initiatives.
  • Develop deep market understanding for the subcategories under their remit.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts as appropriate, supported by the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain.
  • Work to develop and maintain an appropriate program for supplier relationship management and contract management. Develop and provide efficient processes and tools for regular supplier expenditure and non-preferred supplier activity leakage reporting.
About You | Mōu
  • Prior procurement, contract management and supplier management experience (3-5 years advisable).
  • Able to handle enquiries efficiently and provide valuable advice and solutions.
  • Demonstrated high levels of integrity and proven ability to develop trust and credibility with workers.
  • Able to negotiate, influence and persuade constructively.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and maintain calm under pressure.
