We're looking for a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead and support our dedicated team of nurses, allied health staff and administrators.In conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) leads a collaborative, interdisciplinary team dedicated to improving, promoting and protecting public health. Management of the team is a key function of this role including monitoring and driving service delivery.As a Designated Senior Nurse role, this will enable and support health system transformation to achieve the aims of Te Pae Tata (Interim New Zealand Health Plan) and He Korowai Oranga: Māori Health Strategy which has now been enhanced through Pae Tu: Hauora Māori Strategy.The role is an integral part of the senior nursing team, contributing to and supporting programmes of transformational change and service integration. This requires working collaboratively across the sector and organisational boundaries to influence the nursing and Allied Health contribution to better outcomes for our whānau and communities.About the Team/Service/ LocationYou'll be joining a passionate and supportive Public Health Nursing team that is part of the National Public Health Service (NPHS), working collectively to promote health, protect communities, and advance equity across the region.Our team is grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi and we work with heart, in partnership, and with a shared commitment to delivering Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) for all. You are able to utilise advanced nursing knowledge and skills through reflective practice, critical thinking and professional judgement to provide competent care and advice while working to top of scope.
Current registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand as Registered Nurse and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate
A relevant post-graduate qualification or be working towards one
5+ years postgraduate nursing experience
Authorised Vaccinator or interest in completing training
Hold a minimum of an expert portfolio in an approved PDRP or equivalent with a commitment to continue through the programme (or working towards)
Ability to work within a team and autonomously
Proven experience and competence using Patient Management Systems
An eye for detail and commitment for continuous quality improvement
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Full, clean New Zealand drivers licence
