A fantastic opportunity has been created for a Raw Materials Release Coordinator within our broader Quality team based in Balclutha. You will be responsible to manage all Raw Material and Packaging material inspection and release and assure adherence to all Food Safety & ISO-22000 Quality standards with a focus on making continual improvements & recommendations about quality and food safety improvements.Reporting to the QA Release Manager you will support and promote the Quality and Food Safety goals and principles across the Balclutha site. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, working Monday-Friday with the main purpose of ensuring effective and efficient product releases from our site.You will:
  • Check compliance and assess for release of all raw and packaging materials in a timely manner
  • Adhere to existing MPI regulations as well as FS/quality standards
  • Manage all expired or reject materials and co-ordinate supplier complaints as required
  • Ensure coordination of sampling and testing of raw materials
  • Ensure efficient data management of results for raw materials
  • Coordinate & help in investigating relevant NCR/CAR requirements relating to raw and packaging materials
  • Report, analyze, and investigate out of specifications relating to raw and packaging materials
  • Initiate, review, and update SOP’s relevant to Material and Product Releasing
  • Utilize the knowledge in all systems to support the traceability requirements
  • Assist in external and internal auditing processes as required
  • Ensure good coordination with stakeholders like broader quality teams, production, purchase, and suppliers
You are an energetic, proactive, confident, and process-oriented Quality professional. Your proven quality/food technology/laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment will be a big plus. You thrive in a detail-oriented working environment, have good interpersonal and people skills, enjoy working in a multi-culture environment, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You enjoy taking ownership & responsibility and know how to act with speed, agility & pragmatism with eagerness to learn.To be successful you will also have:
  • Prior experience in the Quality function in a manufacturing / FMCG environment is preferred
  • Understanding of GMP and HACCP is desired
  • Intermediate Excel skills will be highly advantageous in this role
  • Agile mindset with an ability to show initiative and multitask, meet deadlines, and complete tasksin a timely manner
  • Ability to work within a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills and ability to work with MS Office suite
