They are responsible for managing all commercial concepts, practices, and procedures from project commencement through completion.You’ll be relied on for your understanding of commercial contract law and your comfort with drafting subcontractor agreements, assessing payment claims and variations, enforcing adherence to contract terms, and risk management.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Review contract terms and conditions to ensure contractual adherence and protection of risk

Negotiate favourable outcomes with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

Risk management and problem-solving

Procurement of subcontractors

Compile Subcontract agreements

Assess payment claims and variations

Measure, estimate, and value variation claims

Establish rates from first principles

Compile and submission of variation claims

Mentor junior quantity surveyors

Monthly cost reporting and accurate cost forecasting

Manage relationships with clients and key project stakeholders

Work closely with carpentry teams to ensure labour and material tracking are managed as efficiently as possible.

Requirements

Commercial construction experience necessary

Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management

Enjoy collaboration and working with a team
