
Senior Social Worker, Acute Community Mental Health

- Deliver high-standard, culturally sensitive psychosocial assessments, interventions, and treatment planning.
- Provide service user- and whaanau-centred care through recovery-focused, strengths-based, and evidence-informed practice.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, while also liaising with community agencies and other external partners.
- Engage in crisis intervention, ongoing care coordination, health promotion activities, and early intervention.
- Participate in clinical leadership, mentoring, professional supervision, service development, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities.
- Registered with the Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in mental health & addiction services, preferably with adults experiencing acute mental health needs.
- Skilled in managing complex clinical situations, providing culturally safe and responsive care, and working in partnership with service users and their whaanau.
- Committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and achieving equitable health outcomes.
- Able to demonstrate strong communication skills, resilience, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset.
- Open to flexible working hours, as our service operates 24/7 (shift work required).
- Have a full and current drivers licence.
