From airport terminals to office towers, university buildings to healthcare facilities, Hawkins is at the forefront of commercial construction.About the roleOperating as a member of the project delivery team, based on a major commercial construction project in Auckland, the Construction Planner is actively involved in the preparation and monitoring the construction programme.You will become a key member of the team and will provide efficient and effective programming and planning assistance to the project teams, enabling them to fulfil their targets and objectives. Ideally, you will have been working in a similar role at an intermediate level or above and have strong motivation to progress your career to the next level.As well as the technical requirements, to be successful you will need to be a team player who can work between tender and project teams to develop and maintain robust programmes and methodologies in a truly collaborative manner.To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
  • A high degree of personal integrity and work ethic.
  • Strong technical capability and credibility.
  • A strong contracting background and exposure working on commercial projects, including large-scale works.
  • Intermediate to expert level experience in P6, as well as Microsoft Project.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. As a key member of the team, you must be able to communicate clearly and interact well with the project team, subcontractors and the client, building strong relationships.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification.
