When that happens, we're not only making life better for small business, we'll be building a stronger economy that can change the world.About the team and roleYou'll be joining the US and Rest of World TAX Product Management team, which drives the strategy and execution for Xero's Tax experiences across the globe. You'll be part of a passionate global group of Product Managers and will lead a dedicated cross-functional team to solve complex problems for our customers.This role will begin by taking ownership of our US tax product suite, initially 1099, where you will be responsible for the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. You will partner closely with your counterparts in Design and Engineering, as well as the Head of Product, to set a compelling direction and ensure brilliant execution. You will be at the helm of the team's mission to shift the product from achieving market fit to becoming a truly differentiated leader in the market by defining and delivering a strategy that harnesses AI and automation capabilities.What you'll do
  • Become a Xero expert: Understand how our products weave into Xero's grand strategy and future.
  • Be a customer champion: Dive deep into customer needs through research and insights to shape our product roadmap.
  • Craft brilliant solutions: Define problems and test innovative solutions, always with the support of your team.
  • Build strong relationships: Collaborate effectively across product functions and with cross functional peers in engineering and design.
  • Drive product strategy: Play an active role in developing our product line strategy, including securing funding and resources.
  • Own the product journey: Manage risks, develop roadmaps, establish delivery cadences, and ensure a smooth end-to-end lifecycle for your products.
  • Measure what matters: Monitor commercial and customer results, continually identifying opportunities for improvement.
What you'll bring with you
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups to realise customer/commercial outcomes
  • Experience defining product roadmaps and long term planning
  • Ability to influence outcomes in a variety of contexts
  • Understanding of the SaaS / Fintech / Accounting industry and / or adjacent sectors relevant to Xero
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a cross-functional team to deliver customer / business outcomes
