
Environmental Scientist

- Plan, manage and deliver contaminated land investigations for projects of varying size and complexity.
- Participate in fieldwork; manage subcontractors and ensure high-quality data collection and reporting.
- Prepare clear, concise technical reports and contribute to environmental assessments and remediation strategies.
- Liaise directly with clients, providing timely updates and innovative, practical solutions.
- Support project management tasks including invoicing, financial tracking, and overall project delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or earth science
- 3-5 years contaminated land experience within a consultancy, council, or similar environment
- Demonstrated experience in contaminated land management, environmental site assessments (preliminary and detailed site investigations) and remediation
- Strong field skills including experience sampling and monitoring a variety of media, including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapour, indoor air, including the willingness to travel and undertake fieldwork in cities and rural locations across New Zealand
- A valid full drivers’ license is essential
