With 40 care homes and 36 retirement villages across Bupa NZ, you can make a true impact.About the Role:You will support the Head of Workplace Health & Safety across Bupa New Zealand continuously improving the wellbeing, health and safety, and engagement of our people. You will be able to build rapport and strong relationships across a variety of diverse stakeholders in New Zealand and the APAC team. As someone who can effectively utilise data and generate reports while providing risk management training to our Care Home Managers, you will contribute to delivering the Health & Safety services to Bupa NZ.Where You'll Make an Impact:
  • Provide technical and advisory support to the operations and management of Workplace Health and Safety risks and controls.
  • Build partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Generate reports, utilise data, identify trends, and work closely with the Head of Workplace Health & Safety to develop strategies.
  • Advise and train in injury management around reporting, investigation, and corrective actions and controls.
  • Review Workplace Health & Safety documentation and policies.
  • Educate staff in managing workplace risks under the Health & Safety Act 2015.
  • Conduct monitoring, inspections, and assessments to meet legislative requirements.
What About You:You have a passion for workplace health & safety, with a collaborative, engaging, and empathetic communication style. You are customer-centric and outcomes-driven which enables you to work alongside stakeholders across the wider business.
  • Previous senior advisory experience in a Health & Safety capacity, ideally within a healthcare, construction, or high-risk environment.
  • Experience in developing and supporting the implementation of wellbeing, H&S strategies, frameworks, systems, processes, and policies.
  • Sound analytical, data-driven, and research skills to extract insights from information and provide an informed opinion on H&S risks and the adequacy of controls.
  • Ability to generate reports that provide meaningful insights on trends that lead to identifying improvements for staff and the business.
  • Proven ability to work on numerous projects, often under tight time constraints.
  • Strong relationship stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline.
  • Lead the Bupa values on a day-to-basis and be customer-centric oriented.
