- A relevant tertiary education in Psychology, Addictions, Mental Health, Social Work, Nursing, Counselling or Education OR be studying towards a degree and have life experience working with whānau in our community
- Have experience in delivering and facilitating therapeutic interventions for individuals or groups in AOD
- Experience with report writing and effective client and caseload management
- A Full, current Driver's license
- Vaccination for COVID 19
- Work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities
- Understand or have lived experience of some of the challenges these Tane have faced
- Know or be willing to learn about Te Ao Māori culture and tikanga and apply our Te Reo and kaupapa Māori practices to your mahi
- Be comfortable with regular practice reviews and receptive to feedback and change
- Practise the Principles of CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Practise and Responsive support
- Make connections with local iwi, hapu and marae
- Manage challenging behaviour and actions of some Tane
- Demonstrate professional boundaries and practise self-care
