Where you’ll be working: He Toa Takitini – 193 London Street, HamiltonThe details: Permanent Full time – 40 hours per weekAre you a registered health professional with a passion for innovation and a desire to deliver high quality mental health and addictions support to people in our local community?Then look no further we have just the position for you.Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityWe are currently seeking registered mental health professionals who are versatile, innovative and want to deliver services differently, to join us in further development of the Central North Sector team - providing community based services for individuals that require specialist mental health and addictions support.The Central North team area covers the Northern half of urban Hamilton and extends out to Huntly, Te Kauwhata and Morrinsville areas. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work closely within these different communities, building networks and collaborating with other organisations to support tāngata whaiora and their whanau toward better health outcomes.Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Ensure the care delivered places the service user/tangata whaiora at the centre of what they are doing.
  • Provide an effective and safe service which is based on best practice, and is evidence based.
  • Work to understand and build relationships with the community that you are working in
  • A commitment to developing skills to work at the top of their professional scope

Mōu | About youSkills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:
  • a current annual practicing certificate enabling working in the mental health sector
  • a current full driver’s license
  • Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • the ability to be service user/tangata whaiora focussed, innovative and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team as well as autonomously
  • well-developed time management skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritise personal and team task
  • the ability to coordinate care and provide therapeutic interventions
  • experience within the mental health field.
