About the roleOur dedicated kitchen team are looking for a fabulous Kitchen Hand to join them to deliver excellent service to our residents at our stunning retirement village, Pohutukawa Landings, in Beachlands, East Auckland.This role would suit someone who is wanting to start a career in the kitchen and enjoys working as part of a team as well as working unsupervised.We have the following shift available working 6 hours a week - Saturday 9.30 am to 4 pmFlexibility to pick up other shifts during the week would be advantageous.Duties include:

Collecting used dishes, running the dishwasher
General cleaning in the Kitchen
Assisting with preparation of meals
Delivering food to our care home (within the property)

Skills and Experience Required:

Commercial kitchen experience (advantageous)
Positive attitude and a strong team player
Excellent food hygiene skills
Good time management and communication skills
A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (advantageous)
