Are you a community Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service clinician looking for a change of pace and an opportunity to grow your assessment, risk management and brief intervention skills? OR Are you a community acute clinician looking for 9-5 working hours with no on call required?
  • We are looking for Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Psychotherapists and Clinical Psychologists to join our Acute Focussed Team based at the Kari Centre.
  • Permanent full time (40 hours) or part time (24 hours minimum) opportunities based at Greenlane Clinical Centre, working Monday to Friday

We invite you to join the Kari Centre - Acute Focussed Team, an exciting and dynamic Child and Adolescent Mental Health outpatient service that provides assessment and therapy to children, young people, and their families within the central Auckland area.The Kari Centre has a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and training, and is dedicated to offering opportunities for career development. We offer internal and external training packages, including formal post-graduate training, for new staff skill development as well as support for experienced clinicians who wish to build on their existing skills.Our acute focused team provides brief mental health assessments with young people and their families to help establish their needs when first referred to Kari Centre, acute assessments for young people in crisis (Onsite or offsite in the emergency department or other locations), at times brief therapeutic interventions, and consult liaison services with professionals and organisations in the community.Please refer for the position description.Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
  • To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced registered Social Worker/Occupational Therapist / Mental Health Nurse / Psychotherapists or Clinical Psychologist with a current NZ Registration and practicing certificate.
  • Our ideal candidate will also have previous experience working with children and youth within a mental health setting, work well as part of a team and under pressure.
  • As this is a community role, a full and clean driver’s licence is required.
