As Area Sales Manager for our Traditional Liquor channel, you'll be the driving force behind Asahi Beverages' premium beer, wine, spirits, and RTD portfolio in the Palmerston North region. Covering Palmerston North, Foxton and Dannevirke, you'll manage and grow relationships with traditional liquor outlets, on-premise venues, and bottle stores. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on territory management with business development, leveraging your sales skills to deliver outstanding results for both our customers and our brands.Key Accountabilities
- Execute call cycles with pre-loaded store tasks, ensuring excellence in merchandising, promotions, and brand execution
- Use data-driven insights to support customers in growing their business while increasing Asahi's market share
- Achieve agreed sales, distribution, and execution targets across your territory
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, negotiating deals and introducing new product lines
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and competitor insights
- Represent Asahi at trade promotions, in-store activations, and events to maximise brand visibility
- Collaborate closely with your fellow Area Sales Managers and District Sales Manager to drive collective team success
- Proven sales experience, ideally in the liquor industry or traditional liquor market; FMCG grocery experience also considered
- Strong territory management, account management, and merchandising skills
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with a customer-first mindset
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and results-driven with a passion for winning in market
- Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a close-knit regional team
