Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleA rewarding opportunity has emerged for a highly motivated expert surgical nurse with advanced expertise in the management of stoma care.The Clinical Nurse Specialist- Stoma, you will be a key member of the Surgical Resource team dedicated to supporting patients and their whanau throughout the surgical journey. You will guide patients through every stage of their stoma journey- pre and post- procedure- providing expert clinical support and compassionate care. Your leadership will extend to both acute and elective cases, empowering patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals with the knowledge and confidence to manage stoma care successfully.This is a unique opportunity to further develop your specialist skills and contribute to the advancement of stoma care across Health New Zealand -WaikatoThe salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the NZNO Collective Agreement.   • Registered Nurse minimum 3 years experience in a surgical speciality,
  • Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • A current practising certificate
  • Post graduate qualification or working towards
  • Completed a Professional Development and Recognition Programme at proficient and/or above
  • The ability to work independently
  • A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability, flexibility and agility
