If you are applying on behalf of someone elseJob descriptionWe are looking for 2 dairy farm assistants to join the team on 1675 cow farm in Temuka.General farm duties will include but are not limited to:
- Twice a day Milking: Morning and afternoon milking. Assists in efficient and hygienic milking routine. Start times are 3:30am and 1.30pm daily.
- Feed: Controls weeds. Set up break fences.
- Animals: Assists in the safe handling of animals, reports any health and welfare issues as per farm policy.
- Team responsibilities: Contribute to an effective team working environment. Works well with others, building a strong team culture.
- Environment: Assists with effluent and water management as directed by farm policy.
-Health, safety: Comply with farm Health and Safety policies and procedures. Involved in building a health, safety and wellbeing culture.In order to be successful applicants must have the following requirements:
- Applicants must be physically fit.
- Must be available for an in-person interview.
- Successful applicant will need to live on farm.
- Applicants must have at least 3 years farming experience
- Applicants must be able to pass a random drug test and have a clear police history.
- Applicants must provide an updated and current CV.
- Applicants must provide verifiable references of previous employment history.
