Job Description We are seeking applicants for the role of Dry Stock Manager for our 241 ha farm in Morrinsville. The property has over 800 head of stock that needs managing.
Shifting stock, tractor work, pasture management, animal health, communication, honesty and efficiency as skills that we require.
The farm is rolling hills and we require an experienced dry stock manager to take care of all tasks that is associated with running dairy heifers and weaners.You will be working closely with the Farm Owner who also has an operating dairy farm close by.
This farm is located 15mins from Hamilton, 15mins from Morrinsville and 20mins to Cambridge.Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years on a NZ farm, be a great communicator, be able to work within a team environment, have good pasture management and tractor skills, good stockmanship and treat animals with respect.Key responsibilities include:

Tractor Work - feeding out, urea application, round bales as well as feed out wagon
Setting up fences and breaks, pasture management, weeds and all property maintenance.
Shifting stock
Managing Bulls and animal health
