You'll be supported to do meaningful work that makes a real difference every day.Mō te tūranga | About the roleJoin our Integration Platform Engineering Squad as a Software Specialist and help shape the integration ecosystem that powers ASB's digital experiences and partner opportunities.You'll play a key role in enabling seamless, scalable, and secure integration by building reusable components and supporting modern engineering practices across squads.Ngā kawenga | What you'll do

Develop SDKs, code templates, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipeline blueprints
Maintain and enhance API Gateways and event streaming platforms
Explore and experiment with emerging technologies
Enable delivery across squads by creating reusable integration components
Collaborate with the developer community to gather feedback and continuously improve
Work autonomously in an agile environment as part of ASB's Engineering Practice

Ō pūkenga | About youYou're a proactive problem solver with strong technical leadership and communication skills. You're confident gathering requirements, designing pragmatic solutions, and presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences.What you bringExperience

8+ years in software engineering
3+ years in solution architecture

Languages and Frameworks

.NET / C# including ASP.NET APIs
PowerShell and Azure CLI

Cloud and DevOps

Azure and cloud-native development
Azure DevOps and GitHub for CI/CD
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform is a bonus)

Containers and Integration

Docker, Kubernetes, AKS or similar
API Gateways such as Kong
Event streaming tools such as Apache Kafka
Understanding of service meshes

Practices and Tools

REST APIs using OpenAPI or Swagger
SDK and library development
Agile delivery and user story refinement
Strong technical documentation skills
