Stabicraft Marine is an award-winning, globally recognised designer and manufacturer of aluminium boats based in Invercargill. Our boats are trusted around the world for their innovation, quality, and performance - and it all starts with great design.We're on the hunt for a Design Engineer who's passionate about creating industry-leading products and ready to help shape the next generation of Stabicraft boats.What you'll be doing:In this exciting and varied role, you'll be involved in the full product development journey - from initial sketch and mock-up, through to 3D CAD modelling, prototyping, testing, and refinement. You'll be hands-on with real projects, working on designs that go from concept to water faster than you might expect.Every day is different - one day you could be shaping hull geometry, the next refining a console layout or improving manufacturability. As with any role, there's detail work too but it's all part of turning bold ideas into world-class boats.What we're looking for:We're after someone who brings creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for making things better. You'll ideally have:
  • 2-3 years' experience in a design or engineering role
  • Experience with 3D parametric CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor)
  • A drive for continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • A good sense of humour and a great attitude
  • A love of boating, outdoor adventures, or just making cool stuff
