Kia mahi ngātahi mō Pōneke mō tōna āpōpō | Working together for Wellington's futureWe have a number of permanent full-time and part-time roles available in our community pools based in Kilbirnie (Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre), Tawa, Freyberg, Karori, and Johnsonville (Keith Spry) and are looking for people at all stages of life. Please note, these opportunities are separate to those from the summer fixed term roles also available.The pools across Wellington provide a vital service to our city - and as a lifeguard you'll play a key role in helping people get the most out of their recreational facilities, and have a safe, enjoyable experience. You'll work in a stimulating environment and have plenty of development opportunities within Wellington City Council. We have a rostered system which does includes some weekends.No experience is necessary as we will provide all training and support to get you up to speed and we will pay you to train! We are looking for people who want to make a difference for our customers and help keep our facilities operating at the highest level. You will be working in a supportive environment where we will ensure that you have all the skills and knowledge to thrive in your new career.As part of your training, you'll gain the following qualifications at a minimum:
First Aid Level 2 Certificate
Pool Life Saving Practicing Certificate
