About us:We are looking for an Experienced Payroll Specialist to join us here at BestStart. We are leaders in the early childhood education sector, where we get to shape New Zealand's future one child at a time.About the Role:We are currently seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist/Analyst to join our team. Reporting to our Payroll Manager as part of a team based in our Manukau support office, you will be joining a bunch of people who are passionate about supporting our team of 4500+ right up and down the country.In this role, you will be responsible for running regular scheduled reports from the payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely delivery, managing payroll service requests using Manage Engine, testing payroll systems including upgrades and configuration changes where necessary, supporting payroll processing, and conducting audit checks. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of NZ employment legislation, advanced MS Excel skills, ,the ability to handle large datasets and excellent customer service skills are essential.We are looking for someone who possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in a payroll team, and proficiency in various payroll systems.. You will be adept at managing competing deadlines, demonstrating a proactive approach to learning, and functioning as a collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset. While experience with Chris21 and/or iChris is preferred, it is not essential for consideration.This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week based in our Manukau Support Office.Other benefits include:
