- Produce excellent quality dishes to brand standards for the restaurant, bar, conferencing, and room service.
- Organising the shift, placing orders, prep completion and supporting the team to ensure the kitchen is always well prepared, clean and hygienic for each shift
- Support the Head Chef and where appropriate guide junior kitchen team members
- Offer flexibility with dietary needs and ensure excellent food hygiene and safety standard are adhered to
- Foster a great team environment of cooperation and respect between co-workers
- The successful candidate must have a certificate at NZQF level 4 or higher, which includes the credit and knowledge requirements of a New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (Level 4)
- At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
- 1 years proven experience as Chef in a medium to large restaurant
- Engaging personality and a great team player
- Expert in product quality and presentation skills
- Knowledge of cooking trends and best practices
- Capable of planning and delegating multiple tasks
- Willing to learn and grow, some knowledge of Health and Safety (training provided)
- Willing to work on a rotating roster
- Candidates must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand to be considered for the role.
