Reporting to the Directors and supported by a high-performing sales manager and a full-time HRM, this senior leadership role will play a critical role in driving this business forward over the next 3 to 5 years.The vision here for the role is for you to first master the operational side of the business first and then gradually grow and have the role scale as the organisation does.The ROLE
  • Be accountable for all aspects of the operational management of this business by providing strong leadership. (Retail + B2B + Online)
  • Monitor business performance against financial and non-financial measures, ensuring efficient and effective cost management against set targets.
  • Communicate the business strategy and/or plans, ensuring a clear understanding across the team. Lead implementation.
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of competitor movements and focus on market share.
  • Ensure effective people development activities fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and engagement.
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement and accountability of health and safety practices.
  • Champion the delivery of an outstanding customer experience resulting in a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.
The RIGHT FIT CANDIDATEThey are looking to meet candidates that are genuinely people-centered (customer and team), with an ability to develop a strong connection with vision and values. Proven experience leading and developing highly engaged teams as positive culture and support is a current strength.You must have experience in leading large multifunctional teams - regionally or large format retail - 80+ across several bands of management. (Minimum 5 years)
  • A marketer and sales champion - You know and understand the lifetime value of a customer in a highly competitive local market and can bring with you some great ideas and tools to further grow sales and market share.
  • A clear communicator and mentor who is hands-on and present in the team driving excellence, safety, and results through positive reinforcement and active management.
  • A prolific networker, active in the community building win/win relationships, and looking for opportunities to make life easy and better.
  • An astute retailer with good commercial and financial acumen - results and data-driven. This role is fully accountable for the financial and operational performance of the business.
  • Entrepreneurial - there is lots of freedom within the framework. You are a trader and may have some buying experience. And you can think on your feet responding quickly to demand and market opportunities as they come to light.
