Do you want a change of scenery?APPLY NOWTradestaff have Metal Fitter and Machinist jobs available across Hawkes BayWe are looking for Metal Fitter and Machinists with background knowledge and experience with the following (but are not limited to):

Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and CNC machinery.
Set up, calibrate, and monitor machines, ensuring accuracy and tolerance compliance.
Cut, shape, bore, drill, and thread components to precise specifications.
Perform quality checks throughout the process and keep production records.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions.
Assemble and install machinery, components, and systems on-site and in workshops.
Align, position, and secure components, connecting pipes, cables, and fittings.
Perform inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and preventative maintenance.
Carry out repairs by disassembling, replacing, and reassembling parts.
Cut, bend, weld, and finish metal parts to ensure correct tolerances and fit.
Install and align large structures such as buildings, bridges, pipelines, or equipment.
Perform grinding, sanding, and finishing to achieve polished results.

Ideally, you will be or have:

Minimum 3+ years' experience
Trade qualifications preferred however scope and length of experience may substitute for the formal qualification
Your own tools
Own reliable transport
At least 2 work references
100% commitment to Health & Safety
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
