You'll be out in the field inspecting and testing key parts of Wellington's power network - helping keep the lights on across the region.What you'll be doing:
- Surveying and inspecting distribution and substation assets (overhead lines, poles, ground-mounted equipment)
- Testing pole strength and identifying defects
- Recording findings using digital tools and software
- Collaborating with technical teams and attending review meetings
- Using and maintaining specialist equipment with a strong focus on safety
- A current EWRB Practising Licence (essential)
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- A reliable self-starter who enjoys working independently
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Willingness to travel across the Wellington region (and occasionally beyond)
