- Ward 6C is a 12-bed acute assessment and treatment unit for people aged over 65 years with an array of mental health (along with some physical health) needs
- Safe and supervised environment assessing patients' needs while providing treatment during their admission
- Shifts are Monday-Sunday and times are Mornings - 7am to 3.30pm, Afternoons - 2.30pm to 11pm, Nights - 10.45pm to 7.15am
- Rosters are rotating and generated every four weeks and usually cover four weeks
- Be a Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate
- Have a Mental health scope of practice to allow for working within this sector - more information can be found at
- Be dynamic, with a strong knowledge base being essential to meeting the challenge of caring for older people in a mental health environment
- Previous mental health experience is essential
