He angitūtanga: The opportunityAuckland Council's Connected Wellbeing department has an opportunity for a Place Host to join the Onehunga/Oranga Hub team. This is a fixed-term position until February 2026 based at Onehunga Community Centre and is worked 9am-1pm Monday to Friday. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring our venues are safe, functional, and welcoming places.You could expect to work on:

Answering general enquiries about the hub, programming, and events
Assisting with room setup and pack-down for bookings
Supporting the team with events and other duties as requested

You can view a copy of the position descriptionHe kōrero mōu: About youThis role requires experience in customer service and venue operations. You will have experience in similar roles within large, complex, and community-focused organisations.
We will be looking for specific experience with the key role requirements:

Minimum 2 years' experience in reception/customer service
Proven relationship building and networking skills
Resilience and the ability to multi-task
Planning, organising, and computer literacy skills
Basic knowledge of facility function and service
