We provide teaching and training for Auckland City Hospital and for Auckland Medical School, and supervise registrars and interns. We are a sociable and friendly team who enjoy working together, and support one another.Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityWe are seeking a proactive, positive and enthusiastic consultant psychiatrist for a permanent position in the Liaison Psychiatry team at Auckland City Hospital. The job can be full time, but less than full time working could be negotiated for the right candidate.The job involves providing specialist psychiatric assessment and consultation to inpatients in Auckland City Hospital, and patients in the emergency department. There is also scope to get involved in specialist liaison psychiatry outpatient work.The role is paid according to the ASMS Senior Medical and Dental Officer MECA – click here for a link, and benefits are also as per the MECA.
