
Maintenance Specialist

- General maintenance repairs which can include plumbing, painting, building, electrical, refrigeration, air-conditioning, room checks, preventative maintenance.
- To receive and action all department maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Keep an awareness of repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel during your day-to-day tasks
- Investigate reported faults and rectify/escalate to Head of Department or other HODs as required
- Complete tasks required to fulfil full building, systems and plant preventative maintenance schedule.
- Liaise with relevant contractors as directed by Head of Department
- To carry out periodical checks of contractor maintenance to ensure standard and professionalism is being maintained.
- Support regular service of appliances and equipment
- Regular liaison with all departments in particular, Front Office and Housekeeping to ensure rooms are returned to full working order as quickly as possible.
- Ensure you follow all hotel policies and procedures including access to guest rooms/plant/machinery etc
- 2+ years of painting experience, there will be focus on painting
- Need to be self-managing and able to do odd job
- Ability to work a flexible roster including weekends and public holidays
- Outstanding communication skills
