Crown Law is celebrating its 150th year of service to the New Zealand as the government's trusted legal advisor.Crown Law provides legal advice and representation services to the Government in matters affecting the executive government. The services Crown Law provides include matters covering judicial review of government actions, constitutional questions including Te Tiriti o Waitangi/Treaty of Waitangi issues, the enforcement of criminal law, and the protection of revenue. Crown Law also administers the prosecution process in the criminal justice system, in particular, Crown prosecutions.Mō te Tūranga | About the RoleResearch and Library Services provides an authoritative, reliable and timely research and library service to legal and support staff. The Library is responsible for managing the physical and online collections and providing the expertise of the best Law Librarians.We are seeking a proactive Senior Research Librarian to join our dynamic team. This position of Senior Research Librarian is permanent and full time.The central focus of the Senior Research Librarian role is:
- Providing exceptional client services by delivering high-quality and timely research using a comprehensive range of New Zealand and overseas legal, legislative and parliamentary resources;
- Management of a research request inbox/dashboard;
- Lead and deliver online in-house current awareness services;
- Contribute to the development and updating of the library intranet;
- Project Management - planning, executing, and monitoring library projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to a high standard;
- You will be a member of a highly valued team within Crown Law involved in delivering cutting-edge research in range of subject areas including Te Tiriti o Waitangi, constitutional law, human rights, artificial intelligence, climate change and criminal law;

- A starting salary range of between $109,231 and $118,015 with further room to progress
