Our dedicated Kitchen team are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef or Cook to join on a Casual basis at our MetFlex Team. You will be responsible for whipping up delicious quality home cooking and designing tasty menus for our residents in a restaurant environment. This position is responsible for the profitable management of the dining operation and experience, ensuring a welcoming and professional customer experience, driving growth, meeting budgets and ensuring food quality and hygiene standards are exceeded.Locations: We have Villages with great kitchens in South Auckland who always need cover from great Cooks and Chefs.Some of the great things you will be doing
- Whipping up delicious offerings in a restaurant environment
- Coordinating the kitchen to ensure it operates effortlessly
- Maintaining a high standard of food with consistent portion sizes and outstanding presentation
- Using your leadership skills to help lead our kitchen team
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
- Commercial kitchen and or café experience is preferred
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Food industry qualification
- Excellent food hygiene practices and personal presentation
