We believe that AI will play a pivotal role in realising that dream, and our Data Science and Engineering Chapter is core to help deliver this exciting challenge.We are looking for a high-performing and enthusiastic Principal AI Infrastructure Engineer (Internal job title: Principle Data Science and Engineering Specialist), who will be hands-on, building AI solutions and infrastructure at Air New Zealand. You will be part of our Data Science and Engineering team which has developed a strong results-oriented reputation across our business. This is a perfect opportunity for someone passionate about AI who wants to come and help drive exciting change at the airline.We are looking for people that will bring:

A highly motivated, self-starter, proactive attitude that thrives working in a collaborative team
The ability to lead the design of AI Infrastructure
A curious attitude, comfortable dealing with problems that are not always well specified or understood and data that is sometimes incomplete and inaccurate.
Confidence and experience applying AI to help solve business challenges.

Key skills and experience required for this role:

Hands-on experience in designing and building exceptional data and AI infrastructure cloud platforms.
Proven experience delivering infrastructure solutions to facilitate data products.
Multi-cloud expertise. Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform and Ansible preferred.
Working experience in data lake, data extraction, load, and transformation.
The ability to lead the design, and deployment of new AI initiatives.
Knowledge working with a modern AI platform technology stack, with proficiency in tools such as Vector Databases and LangChain.
10+ years' experience in Data Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
