This is a unique opportunity to contribute your skills and ideas to strengthen the committee, supporting community health, wellbeing, and volunteer engagement.As an Area Committee Member, you will:
  • Support local community health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Work with other community leaders and organisations to connect, collaborate, and find solutions
  • Help promote and support Hato Hone St John volunteers in the region
  • Take on a key portfolio role within the committee
  • Represent your community's needs and help shape local health equity initiatives
No prior experience is required - just a passion for your community and a willingness to contribute. You'll receive great support and guidance from our Community Engagement team to ensure you have everything you need to succeed in this rewarding role.QualificationsKo wai koe - About you:We're looking for people who:
  • Are passionate about the health and wellbeing of local communities and interested in how Hato Hone St John can make a difference.
  • Understand, or are open to learning about, Equity for Māori, with a commitment to growing personal cultural competence.
  • Have strong local connections and excellent communication and networking skills to expand community reach and engagement.
  • Think creatively, collaborate effectively, and build partnerships both within and outside the organisation.
  • Have strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
