- Gaining practical experience in your chosen field of study by working on diverse projects assigned by department managers and team members
- Participating in various group activities and projects with other Interns, providing you with a well-rounded knowledge of the mining process.
- Presenting your experiences and key learnings to the Site Management Team at the conclusion of the internship, showcasing your growth and achievements.
- Document review and upload
- H&S signage audits
- Accompany various H&S staff across site including; Safety Advisors, Emergency Response team, nurses and others to learn how H&S works across the Macraes site
- Hands-on Experience: You will have the chance to apply the knowledge and skills you've acquired during your tertiary studies in a practical mining environment. Working alongside a team of experts, you'll gain valuable insights and hands-on experience that will boost your career.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Our team of professionals will be there to mentor and guide you throughout the internship. Learn from the best in the industry and grow both personally and professionally.

- Full Class 1 Drivers licence (ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred)
- Available across mid November-February 2025/26
- In your 2nd last or final year of study in Health & Safety, Management or similar
- Have somewhere to stay in Dunedin, Oamaru and surrounds, and happy to bus to site daily
- Curious and inquisitive mindset with a passion for problem solving
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with photography and video filming and editing would be beneficial
- Residential role, live and work in the stunning region of Otago, NZ.
- Roster of 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off, 7am – 4:30pm daily.
