We're currently looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to join our Digital Workplace Systems team. This Product family team is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of systems and digital assets used by our staff to collaborate and communicate efficiently and effectively.As a Senior IT Project Manager with us, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our IT projects align with our values and vision. Your responsibilities include:
  • Driving Excellence: Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of IT projects to deliver solutions that meet the requirements of the Department and our key stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Digital Workplace Systems Owner to ensure all IT projects within the Product Group meet their delivery objectives (Budget, Time, Quality).
  • Support and Reporting: Assist the Programme Manager as needed in support of Product and Governance reporting activities.
  • Risk Management: Take the lead in managing and maintaining our risk register to minimize exposure and risk across multiple projects.
  • Transparency: Provide accurate, timely, and insightful project reports to regular forums as required.
  • Resource Optimisation: Collaborate with internal and external providers to integrate and manage resources and tasks efficiently.
  • Achieve Excellence: Manage the efforts of all resources to ensure projects deliver within specified constraints of time, cost, and quality while meeting business requirements.
This permanent position is full-time and based at our National Office in Wellington.Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experienceYou'll have extensive experience and involvement in managing large complex IT projects and/or multiple IT projects having regard to project management disciplines. In addition, you'll bring:
  • Experience managing both large- and small-scale projects including a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Experience in managing implementation and maintenance of Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Experience and involvement in the IT procurement and change management processes.
  • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills, including meeting and workshop facilitation experience.
  • The ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation experience, including the ability to influence and build consensus with a range of stakeholders.
Utu ā-tau | SalaryThe midpoint of the salary range is $162,543 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $138,162 - $195,052 per annum.
