About the role:As the Implementation Leader in Emergency Communications and Dispatch (ECD) you will play a critical role in ensuring our team of 580 is equipped and empowered to deliver a world-class emergency response service.ECD us the invisible frontline of Police. Responding to over one million emergency calls each year, we operate 24/7 to help ensure that our communities - and the frontline - feel safe and are safe.This is a hands-on role with ample opportunity to innovate, problem solve, and deliver initiatives that enhance service delivery. As a change leader you will be responsible for identifying how changes impact users & recommending effective implementation strategies.You will also support the ECD National Operations Manager in maintaining operational continuity - working closely with ICT and external vendors to ensure current technology performs as required, and that future solutions are fit for purpose.No two days are the same in this role, and we are looking for a collaborative team member who can identify risks, influence across all levels of our business and work at a fast pace when required. Knowledge of the systems and processes used by Emergency Communication and Dispatch Centres is an advantage, but not required to apply.Key Accountabilities:
  • Applications and systems that support or interact with ECDs, and leading and managing internal and external relationships
  • Analysing the structure and flow of the business processes to identify possible application and system enhancements
  • Providing technical support and problem solving related to business applications, technology, and systems.
  • Creating communications and implementation plans to enable and lead improved technology, systems, and process to be successfully changed and embedded.
  • Designing and leading activities to improve the operational practices and procedures within ECD.
  • Contributing flexibility to the broader work of ECD by working with, supporting, and contributing to cross-team projects.
  • Having a detailed understanding of stakeholders' requirements and an ability to translate these into successful outcomes.
