We're looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to join a reputable consultancy delivering high-impact projects across commercial, education, infrastructure, and public sector developments. This is a hands-on leadership role that will see you oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation through to delivery and close-out.
We have a PM role based in Hamilton, managing the Waikato region, and a PM role based in Auckland.Role & Responsibilities:As Project Manager, you'll be accountable for managing the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Your key responsibilities include:Leading project planning, coordination, and execution across all stagesDeveloping and managing budgets, procurement plans, and risk registersCoordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholdersManaging contracts, variations, and project reporting requirementsEnsuring compliance with regulatory requirements, health & safety standards, and internal policiesConducting regular site visits and progress meetings to ensure smooth deliveryProviding leadership to project teams and mentoring junior staff where neededTo be considered you will:Provide a proven track record in delivering construction or infrastructure projects (preferably $5M+)The ability to manage multiple priorities and complex project environmentsSound knowledge of NZ building codes, construction contracts (NZS3910, NEC, etc.), and procurement processesStrong commercial awareness and experience in cost control and reportingThe ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and lead project teams confidentlySkills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role
  • A tertiary qualification in either of the following is ideal:
Construction ManagementCivil or Structural EngineeringArchitecture or Building ScienceProject Management or Quantity SurveyingProject management certifications are advantageous:PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or NZIPM membershipCompetency in:MS Project, Primavera, or similar project planning toolsProject risk analysis and mitigationStakeholder engagement and progress reporting Health & safety compliance (HSWA 2015)Why You Should Apply:
