This is a key technical role supporting clients across the generation, industrial, and transmission & distribution sectors, working on medium and high-voltage (MV/HV) electrical design projects throughout New Zealand.How you'll make a difference:

Lead and deliver conceptual and detailed designs of primary electrical systems.
Select appropriate electrical equipment to meet technical and client requirements.
Produce and review electrical drawings (with CAD team support).
Prepare technical specifications and construction contract documentation.
Conduct construction monitoring and on-site inspections to ensure design compliance.
Support the commissioning of new electrical and control systems.

QualificationsThe following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.The qualities that help you thrive:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in MV and HV equipment design e.g. cables, switchgear, transformers, etc.
Familiarity with engineering software such as CDEGS, CYMCAP or similar
Valid driver's licence
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is desirable but not essential
