Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunityWe have an exciting opportunity in our Stop Smoking Service team for a facilitator.As a facilitator you will primarily be responsible for operational support of the Stop Smoking Service as well as supporting our practice-based practitioners and our community practitioners. You will also facilitate one-on-one and group smoking/vaping cessation sessions in the community and will promote the service at various events, workplaces and the community to raise awareness of the health services that we offer and to help make it easy for whānau to engage in and access these free services.This is a fixed term contract until 30 June 2025.He kōrero mōu: About you
  • Someone who has sound understandingof the values, concepts, and principles of Tikanga Māori.
  • A motivated self-starter who has experience in customer service, preferably with some previous exposure to the primary health care environment.
  • An individual who is able to demonstrate attention to detail with excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership.
  • A culturally responsive and inclusive team member who is respectful of diverse beliefs, protocols, and practices and is committed to the principles of Tikanga Maori.
  • An individual who has a high level of integrity and has the ability to ensure confidentiality of information.
  • Someone who is passionate about providing quality health services that meet the needs of children, young people, and their whānau.
