Your Title: Applications SpecialistJob Location: Christchurch, NZOur Department: Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT)Fixed-Term: 12 monthsDoes helping test systems that will transform the earthmoving industry using cutting-edge technologies excite you?What You Will DoIn this 12-month fixed-term role as an Applications Specialist with CTCT (Trimble’s joint venture with Caterpillar), you will be involved in the specification, design, documentation, and execution of testing of our machine control software and hardware. You will work closely with software and system engineers to ensure we continue to provide high-quality products to the earth-moving industry.You will be an essential member of a multidisciplinary delivery team where high value is placed on field testing and knowledge of how machines are used in the earthmoving industry.You will utilise relevant industry experience to provide a ‘voice of customer’, while working closely with software and system engineers to ensure CTCT continues to provide high-quality products to the earthmoving industry.This will involve:Component and system testing of products during developmentInterpretation of high-level marketing requirements or technical documents into detailed user-centric specifications suitable for development purposesReport defects and work with the development team to resolve themDay-to-day liaison with development staffAssisting with auto-test creationEnsure that products meet quality standardsInput and assistance on released product issuesContinuous improvement of testing processes.What you'll bring?You will naturally be a team player, with strong work prioritisation skills and a collaborative communication and working style, plus have excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
