The Turnaround & Restructuring team for a Big 4 in Auckland, New Zealand is seeking an experienced professional to join at the Manager to Associate Director level. Responsibilities
  • Delivering turnaround and restructuring solutions including cost reduction, working capital optimisation, liquidity management, contingency planning, refinancing, and if required, formal insolvency processes.
  • Leading and managing assignments, ensuring quality outcomes that meet client timelines and budgets.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, banks, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Supporting business development activities alongside the Partner – helping to expand the team’s market presence.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the wider Deal Advisory practice, including Debt Advisory and Transaction Services.
Candidate profile
  • Must have right to work in New Zealand, no sponsorship available
  • 5+ years’ experience in restructuring, turnaround, debt advisory, transaction services, or insolvency (Big 4 or boutique firm background preferred, but strong restructuring experience will also be considered).
  • Professional services experience is essential.
  • Strong communication skills – confident, concise, and solutions-focused.
  • A solid technical grounding in accounting, finance, or corporate restructuring.
  • Business development experience and networks are highly valued, but not mandatory.
  • CA, CPA, CFA, or similar professional qualification desirable.
