Loss Prevention (Security) Officer - The Warehouse Newmarket, (Full Time)

- Monitor store activities through CCTV systems and physical patrols to detect and deter potential security threats
- Apprehend shoplifters and assist in the investigation of internal theft cases
- Conduct security checks on incoming and outgoing merchandise
- Respond promptly to security alarms and emergency situations
- Collaborate with store management to implement and improve loss prevention strategies
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security records
- Assist customers and staff in a professional and courteous manner when required
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant New Zealand security regulations
- Sundays to Thursdays 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Valid security guard licence as per New Zealand regulations
- Previous experience in loss prevention, retail security, or related field
- Thorough understanding of security procedures, surveillance systems, and loss prevention techniques
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including report writing
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
- Physical fitness to perform the duties of the role
- Knowledge of New Zealand security laws and regulations
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
