Nelson Bays Primary Health (NBPH) is the Primary Health Organisation (PHO) for the Nelson Tasman region. PHO's lead and co-ordinate primary health care within the local community. NBPH also manages an integrated health facility, Golden Bay Community Health, who deliver a wide range of health services to the local rural community in Takaka.Our vision is “Healthy people… healthy workforce…. healthy community” – Kia piki te ora o ngā tāngata katoa.An exciting opportunity has become available in our Richmond based office for the following role:Mātanga Kai - DietitianPermanent position (36 hrs per week, 0.9FTE)Do you want to be part of a busy, established Primary Care Dietitian team? Are you a new graduate or are you looking to move into an exciting role within our Dietitian service? The role focuses on lifestyle-related long-term conditions, and you will provide a clinical dietetic service including individual/whānau consultations delivered in the General Practice setting, support our self-management programmes (such as Type 2 Diabetes education, cardiac rehab) and provide workforce development to the primary care workforce.The successful applicant will:
  • Be a New Zealand registered practising Dietitian; new graduates considered.
  • Have endorsement as a Prescribing Dietitian
  • Have strong professional and interpersonal skills for working in a range of different teams and environments
  • Be committed to implementing the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi within their work
