Our client is a child who needs a fun-loving support worker to assist her in living her best life. She needs an energetic, competent and organised person with attention to detail to help her achieve her goals; keeping her healthy, learning, communicating with others and provide therapy-based activities, play based learning and community outings. Due to the nature and complexity of cares required, female applicants would be preferred.Suitable applicants will be able to relate well to children, have a gentle and loving personality.Requirements of cares but are not limited to:
  • Competency in all transfers & equipment positioning
  • Competency in Medication Administration
  • Competency in suctioning & following physiotherapy program
  • Child specific First Aid
  • Confident to handle cares independently
  • Must have a clean and valid NZ driving licence
  • Must be eligible to work in NZ
  • Subject to clean police clearance check
  • Able to commit to the shifts
  • Training will be provided
Tasks:
  • Suctioning, feeds via Mickey Button
  • Bathing, feeding & developmental therapies.
  • Mobility, positioning, grooming, and home help.
  • Following Assistive Communication program & reading
Shifts:Day Shifts
Monday: 6.00AM – 9.00AM; Tuesday: 3.30PM-6.30PM; Wednesday – 8.00AM-3.00PM; Thursday: 3.30PM -6.30PM; Friday: 6.00AM-9.00AMWake over Shifts
Thursday & Friday: 10.00PM – 6.00AM*with an opportunity to pick up more shifts.As a Support Worker you will have the following attributes:
