- Relevant engineering qualification (or equivalent practical experience).
- At least 5 years' experience in the operation and maintenance of water pump stations, reservoirs, and network management systems.
- Strong knowledge of asset and risk management, project delivery, contract oversight, and budget management.
- Familiarity with key legislation (Water Services Act, Local Government Act, Resource Management Act, Health & Safety).
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and support technical teams.
- Full NZ Driver's Licence.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects with councils, consultants, or contractors.
- Ability to deliver improvements in asset performance and data capture.
- Strong communication skills, particularly when engaging the public or external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to balance operational demands with long-term planning.
