- Gain experience working within successful research and operational teams
- Lead the co-design of the model of care and hauora assessment for the Auckland region;
- Build and maintain relationships with the whole sector hospital, primary care and community services
- Manage the daily operations and ensure continuous monitoring and quality improvement
- Be accountable for reports, evaluation and dissemination of results
- Engaging in Kaupapa Māori research & evaluation
- Contributing towards opportunities for funding & scholarships
- Support & linking in Māori & Indigenous research and networks
- Building workforce development
- Developing innovative solutions based on research
- A relevant graduate and/or post graduate qualification with a record of managing health research in New Zealand or equivalent project management experience
- A commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
- Understanding of Tikanga Māori, Te Ao Māori and Mātauranga Māori and the ability to engage appropriately in Māori settings
- A high level of research and report writing skills
- Track record of research publications or equivalent reports
- A proven ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, particularly community groups
- Proven ability to lead, as well as be self-motivated and work autonomously within team
