- Provide expert advice on public transport strategies and policies.
- Develop and implement active travel initiatives to benefit the community.
- Ensure integration of active travel strategies into wider transport plans.
- Manage public transport contracts and ensure quality service delivery.
- Prepare financial reports and manage expenditure against budget.
- Contribute to budget preparation and strategic planning processes.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including contractors and community groups.
- Engage with public transport providers and gather feedback from users.
- Represent the organization at meetings and community events.
- Implement robust risk management practices.
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Mitigate risks to health, safety, and the environment.
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of five years' experience in operational public transport or strategic transport planning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices, process and systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven estimating and budget preparation skills with the ability to control expenditure to meet financial objectives
