Public Transport and Active Travel Manager

• Provide expert advice on public transport strategies and policies.
• Develop and implement active travel initiatives to benefit the community.
• Ensure integration of active travel strategies into wider transport plans.
• Manage public transport contracts and ensure quality service delivery.
• Prepare financial reports and manage expenditure against budget.
• Contribute to budget preparation and strategic planning processes.
• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including contractors and community groups.
• Engage with public transport providers and gather feedback from users.
• Represent the organization at meetings and community events.
• Implement robust risk management practices.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Mitigate risks to health, safety, and the environment.

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
• A minimum of five years' experience in operational public transport or strategic transport planning.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices, process and systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven estimating and budget preparation skills with the ability to control expenditure to meet financial objectives
