- Utilise your strong connections with communities and settings and your in-depth knowledge of Hauora Māorito to promote healthy environments
- permanent, part-time (0.5FTE, 20 hours per week) with a key focus on healthy food environments
- permanent, full-time (1.0FTE, 40 hours per week) with a key focus on alcohol harm reduction.
- working as part of a team with colleagues in Te Whatu Ora and Te Ake Whai Ora, supported by our Communities' Leadership team members
- establishing effective and trusted relationships with key stakeholders to support the implementation of health promotion initiatives e.g. mental well-being, healthy food environments
- collaborating with the community, other organisations and sectors, to identify and address health priorities.
- Health promotion experience along with experience working with community development is highly desirable
- Health promotion qualification is advantageous but not essential
- An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to working with communities to promote health and wellbeing
- You will have excellent organisational, communication, and computer skills.
- You will have the confidence to build successful working relationships with those around you, and the ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team environment
- You will also bring experience in community development or health promotion
