- Operate large hydraulic excavators (35 – 50 tonne) for earthworks, extraction, and loading
- Load and manage overburden, ore, and rock in coordination with haul trucks
- Carry out daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance
- Work safely and efficiently according to site requirements and production targets
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
- Minimum 100 hours proven experience operating excavators in mining, quarrying, or civil environments
- Familiar with operating brands such as CAT, Hitachi, or Liebherr
- Good understanding of site safety and machinery operations
- Physically fit and reliable, with a strong work ethic
- Valid Class 1 New Zealand driver licence
- Minimum 100 hours proven experience operating excavators
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Full-time Permanent roles : 12 hour shifts 5 days per week, min 40 hrs and max 60 hours per week
- Drive in, stay on-site for 5 days then leave for 2 days. (5 days on 2 days off)
- Exposure to dust, noise, extreme temperatures, and weather conditions.
- Offering $32 – 33 per hour
